When you are looking at planning a wedding, all brides needs her bridesmaid dresses to defend myself against some of the biggest and smallest details when you are looking at wedding planning. Well, one bridesmaid took the task very seriously, so seriously she launched Bridesmaid For Hire and used the abilities she learned from as being a bridesmaid to assist other brides who require it.
The "company gives consumed with stress brides an assistant that can take the grunt work from the hassled bridesmaids," based on a recent New York Magazine article.
The company offers various packages from the "virtual bridesmaid" including consultation sessions, with an online video, collaboration tool to help with planning, problem-solving, and assembling itineraries and to-do lists, to "bridesmaid because of your side" package which supplies weekly sessions online videos to help with the planning of events and activities contributing up to the marriage, based on the company's website.
So how did all of this begin? In 2012, when founder and pro-bridesmaid Jen Glantz saw all her friends get engaged, it had been the first time she had been inspired to be a bridesmaid. The offers to be considered a bridesmaid started rolling in weight loss friends were getting engaged.
"Before I knew it - my tiny NYC closet hugged more bridesmiad gowns than I had hangers for," she says on her behalf website.
Glantz then released a Craigslist ad for professional bridesmaids where she thought she could use the abilities and knowledge she had acquired along the way to assist the bride and the marriage party. Within a few hours, she was receiving letters from brides around the globe.
Glantz says that her bridesmaid training began this year when she started traveling the nation as a consultant for any national sorority. Each week she found herself hopping off an airplane in a new city and dealing with a number of women she had never met before. Glantz said she would help these women organize and delegate their to-do lists, problem solve overwhelming situations, and cleanse their lives associated with a chaos that ensued.
She learned "how to create strangers into friends and turn difficult challenges into stress-free adventures," said Glantz on her behalf website.
We're sure a lot of you are thinking, why didn't I think of this? Because so many bridesmaids are fantastic planners and organizers, but nobody stops and thinks (aside from Jen Glantz obviously!) they might help other women.
